Figtree Productions is Joel and Doris along with their daughters, Jessica and Danielle; a family-owned photography studio in the NJ/NY metropolitan region spanning two generations. By themselves, Joel and Doris have now been photographing for over 20 years.
We are able to offer a blend of both traditional and modern photography with an artistic appeal guaranteeing a unique perspective on your wedding day.
We photograph as a team to bring you several unique views blended into one vision. This team approach allows us cover weddings in a way that simply cannot be duplicated by one photographer alone. We can ensure that that all of the beauty, love, raw emotion, and spontaneity of your special day are captured. Formals, when desired, are much faster, more organized, and less hectic.
As a rule we photograph only one wedding a day. This allows us to devote a large amount of attention to each couple.

Joel has been photographing since his early teens.Having grown up in NYC, he graduated CUNY with a degree in Photography and Art. Under the directions of mater photographers and artists, Joel studied black and white printing and photography techniques as well as the subtleties of traditional posing. After graduating, Joel continued his photography education studing at the New School in Greenwhich Village. After meeting Doris they both began to photograph weddings as a team, realizing the additional perspective that each brought added to the total picture. |

Doris graduated CUNY pursuing studies in psychology. Her photographic career began after meeting Joel. In the beginning, she photographed as Joel's assistant and secondary photographer. The nature of her tasks gave Doris the unique opportunity to experiment with settings, angles, and details not normally associated with wedding photography at that time. Her keen eye for detail and human interaction adds a more personal touch to Figtree's style of photography. |

Danielle has studied graphic design, darkroom photography, and tradional fine arts. With her natural born artistic talent she brings an artists eye to Figtree Productions. Having used photoshop programs most of her life, her expertise allows her to create unique and exciting one of a kind albums that stand out from the usual. While other studios either outsource their design work or use template created layouts, Danielle creates each album from scratch exclusively for us. Danielle's books are currently our most popular product. |

Jessica has always had an avid interest in photography. She knew at a very early age that photography was her passion and started by studying traditional dark room photography and graphic design. In addition to creating and maintaining our website, she also makes sure the colors are perfect on all of our images. Outside of weddings, Jess keeps up a photography hobby that keeps her ideas fresh. |
